For those who do not know, elearning means electronic learning. Elearning can contain inter/intranet available training recognized as web-based training (WBT) and computer-based training (CBT) where admittance to the internet is not wanted. By providing elearning solutions, big corporations with numerous offices can reach employees no matter where they work to fulfill corporate training requirements.
 
 
Web-Based Training (WBT)
 
The WBT or web based training is becoming a really powerful tool because students can use it, no matter where they are. Elearning companies that supply WBT courses (e.g., SkillSoft) offer businesses use of set course subject which employees can access at will depending on contract specification. This allows employees to be taught at a time and pace that is most desirable for them. That could mean making use of lunch breaks or evening hours to keep current on job skills. WBT is not partial to company/employee use. Any person needing to further their talents can take advantage of modules offered online.
 
On the opposite end of the spectrum, it takes a self-directed student to embrace the standards of web or computer based learning. There is a need for these people to see just how much this education will enrich their lives and turn them into valuable employees.

Great post! I am just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well - resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case.

This is fantastic! I have to say your shoe smashing is much more humane than my usual response which is to just use the flow of water in the bathtub/shower to get them down the drain to a watery death. Probably a slow, painful way to go, but I just cannot stand the feeling of squishing insects, so I usually wash them down the drain or wrap them in a paper towel before squishing.
